Grande Charte

THE ART OF CREATION & MEASURE

FOUNDED IN THE 21ST CENTURY

First house of champagne FOUNDED IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Each creation explores the art of blending and the precision of dosage, the fine balance where complexity meets harmony. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier, and the rare Pinot Blanc converge into symphonies that are both measured and free. Every cuvée is singular, unrepeatable, and bound to time itself.

CHARACTERISTICS

ORGANIC VITICULTURE, PRECISION DOSAGE, TIME CRAFTED, NEVER RECREATED, PURE BALANCE

COLLECTION OVERVIEW

At Grande Charte, blending is not a formula , it is an art.
Each cuvée begins as a search for equilibrium, where intuition and precision coexist. The blending process explores how each cépage, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier, and the rare Pinot Blanc, can combine to reveal the purest, most luminous expression of taste.

Unlike traditional Champagne houses, Grande Charte does not seek to reproduce a fixed “house style.” Each cuvée was crafted as an autonomous work, a composition born from instinct, not imitation. Together, they form an architecture of taste: distinct in character, united by discipline.

Each bottle is the result of countless calibrations, then a single act of faith, the decision to stop. That instant defines the soul of the wine. It is the moment the craftsman withdraws, and time takes over.

THE ART OF DOSAGE

Behind the doors where dosage is crafted

Behind the doors where dosage is crafted

In Champagne, a few tenths of a gram can change everything. Where most work by half-gram increments, Grande Charte refines dosage to 0.1 grams, a discipline that transforms balance into emotion. This pursuit of exactitude allows each cuvée to reach its ideal point of tension: where freshness meets depth, and lightness meets length.

Each adjustment in dosage is a dialogue between intuition and science. At Grande Charte, precision is not a constraint but a language, one that allows emotion to speak through structure, and structure to serve emotion.

Process

The cap, forged in metal, embodies both strength and finesse, a subtle echo of the craftsmanship found in fine watchmaking. It is crowned by a cabochon, not merely a design feature but a tactile signature: an invitation to the hand before the palate. This union of material and gesture transforms the act of opening into a ritual, the first encounter with the soul of Grande Charte.

Every element of a Grande Charte bottle , from the weight of the glass to the engraved pewter coiffe, is designed to serve both function and feeling. The form is pure, the gesture deliberate. No label interrupts the line; the story is told directly on glass. Each bottle is an object of precision, but also of presence , a vessel shaped by patience, meant to hold time itself.

"Grande Charte turns the science of Champagne into the art of singularity. Every bottle is born from exactitude, shaped by intuition, and destined never to exist twice."

From Gravity to Grace

Iroise 769

Duration — 769 days underwater

Depth — 60 meters below sea level

Location — Iroise Sea, Brittany, France

Condition — Constant 12°C, complete darkness

Fifty bottles from each cuvée of the GC-5 Collection were entrusted to the sea, immersed off the coast of Brittany, at a depth of sixty meters, for 769 days. Beneath constant pressure and temperature, time moves differently. The ocean becomes both guardian and craftsman, shaping a Champagne unlike any other.

Iroise is not an experiment, but a revelation, a dialogue between the elements. The sea refines what the cellar began, softening the edges, deepening the resonance. From gravity to grace, the wine finds a new equilibrium: alive, mineral, serene.

"Grande Charte Champagne’s excellence is built on nuance and unpredictability… Each vintage is a surprise, unique, individual …they never fail to astonish at first tasting, for some, they even bring tears…"

— Le Figaro Vin, Sophie Brissaud

The Art of Precision

"At Grande Charte, every detail is considered, every release deliberate. Production remains purposefully limited, not by strategy, but by nature itself. What we create is the result of time, precision, and respect for what cannot be rushed."

Hugues Nicolas, Chief Product Officer

Champagne Grande Charte is more than a symbol of celebration, it is a way to gather, to honour life, and to share time. Each bottle carries within it the memory of the elements and the precision of human hands, offering not an excess, but a refinement of joy.
It reminds us that the true luxury is not in having more, but in feeling more, together.

Champagne Grande Charte embodies the art of time, from vintages aged between ten and twenty-five years to the Iroise Collection, the first in the world to offer a Champagne matured more than two years beneath the sea. Each bottle carries the precision of craftsmanship and the memory of its elements, offering not excess, but refinement.
